Are you interested in a part-time job? Do you want to find out who is hiring and how to get your foot in the door? Well, come out to the Student Employment Fair on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in Tate Grand Hall to network with some employers and see what jobs are out there!
Local employers on-campus and off-campus will be at the Tate Grand Hall to hire students for part-time positions. This is a great opportunity to land a part-time job and an opportunity to introduce yourself and give your resume directly to a hiring manager. Here are some tips to make the most of this event:
- Bring copies of your resume
- Do research on the employers and on DAWGlink
- Introduce yourself by thanking the employer for attending the event, stating your name, major, year in school and brief past/current work history. (Elevator pitch)
- Smile and make eye contact
