Some extraordinary teachers encouraged a love of learning that is as meaningful and exhilarating today.

How did you get involved in Career Services?

It was a natural progression from my first job as an admissions counselor at a two year college to universities and Trio programs. After working in counseling and art, I came to career services as the internship coordinator for all majors.

What’s the best career advice you have for students?

Ask for the chance to observe or work with them.  Develop friendships with life transforming teachers. Maintain contact with all of these people.

Why do the CDIs love Charles?

Charles loves being a part of the UGA Career Center, and the CDIs can tell. He always has a smile on his face and is quick to say hello in the hall. On top of being friendly and having a great sense of humor, Charles is seriously one of the most knowledgeable people in the building. There’s not a career related question that hasn’t crossed his path and if you’re in the hard sciences, or pre-med, you should make sure that YOU cross his path.  Your career will thank you.”
