We’ve started the recruiting process for the 2010-2011 CDI team and we’re looking for 3-4 UGA students from a variety of majors and backgrounds to join the Career Center team! To qualify, candidates must graduate in Spring 2011 or later, should have a GPA above 3.0, and should be highly self-motivated and creative. The CDIs are responsible for marketing and outreach programs for the Career Center, and are also trained in career counseling techniques including resume critiques, mock interviews, etc. The CDIs are the liason between the Career Center and the UGA student body, so candidates should be comfortable serving as peer mentors and should have strong communication skills.
The Career Development Internship is a paid program, and CDIs must make a 2-semester commitment to work 10 hours a week at $7.25 an hour. Candidates should also be flexible as there may be some night programming, but regular work hours will be between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday.
To learn more and to apply, visit http://www.career.uga.edu/STUDENTS/cdi.html to download an application. All applications will be due by March 5th at 5:00PM and interviews will take place on April 7th from 2-4:00PM and on April 8th from 5-7:00PM.
There will be an Information Session TOMORROW, February 23rd at 5:00 in the Tate II Dawg Pen. It’s recommended that interested candidates attend the session to learn more about the position and get any questions answered. See you there!
